WANDRD’s "One Bag, One Journey" philosophy isn't just a marketing slogan; it’s a challenge. Vanguard Media House accepted that challenge, documenting a journey across the most demanding regions of India. We set out to prove that the Fernweh 50L is the only companion a filmmaker needs to navigate the chaos of the city and the silence of the wild.
Our production covered thousands of miles. We tracked the Fernweh through the dense brush of Ranthambore, the crowded, narrow labyrinths of Varanasi, the sweltering urban heat of Delhi and Agra, and the royal corridors of Jaipur. Each location demanded something different—durability, accessibility, or comfort—and our cinematography focused on how the bag adapted to each transition.
"When you’re moving between a jungle safari at 5 AM and a crowded train station at midnight, your gear shouldn't be a distraction—it should be an extension of your body. Our goal was to capture that 'flow state' where the bag disappears and the journey takes center stage."
To capture the rugged nature of the trip, we utilized a "Run-and-Gun" filming style, using natural lighting and handheld stabilized shots to mimic the fast-paced reality of solo travel. We focused on "sensory details"—the sound of the heavy-duty zippers in a quiet temple, the texture of the weather-resistant fabric against the desert dust, and the ergonomic fit during long treks across Agra.
